Training is provided on an ongoing basis, but experience maybe necessary. Job Duties: wrapping/unwrapping hives; spring and fall maintenance of hives; feeding; creating nucs; queen rearing; supering hives; pulling honey supers (80+ lbs.) to the truck deck; extracting honey; moving bees- must be able to work some evenings and weekends if need be. maintain bee yards; and any other assorted duties with regards to apiary work. Most tasks are performed outdoors in all kinds of weather. Work is repetitive and physically demanding.
Asset: the capability of driving standard trucks preferred.
Must possess a valid driver's licence.
Work Hours: an average of 40+ hours per week.
Location of Work: SE 14-56-8- W of 3.
Education: no formal education required but at least Grade 12 education is an asset.
Work Experience: minimum of 1-2 full seasons of apiary experience required.
Requirements: Valid driver's license; have own vehicle to get back and forth to work; be in good physical condition and to work in a team environment.
Employment details: Seasonal (F/T); 40+ hours of per week.
