Unique Contract Interiors (UNCI) is a family owned and operated company established in 1989. The company specializes in manufacturing, supplying, & installing commercial restaurant furniture throughout Canada. At this time, UNCI is looking for an experienced, driven, and loyal Production Supervisor to assist with managerial duties and overseeing the shop floor. See further details below:
-Manage the shop floor & the employees who work there. This includes HR duties, handling employee requests for holidays, & keeping the workplace enjoyable.
-Roll out projects to the shop staff won by our Sales & PM team.
-Understand and be able to dictate timelines and budgets that must be kept within or better.
-Be capable of quick thinking and making decisions.
-Job cost projects once complete to confirm profits and areas to improve on.
-Understand the industry. Having knowledge with construction is a must and if you know anything about furniture or upholstery is considered an asset.
-Manage the employee hours and ensure they are coming in accurate as per the roll out.
-Be involved in starting and managing a commercial furniture repair program.
-Understand Simply Accounting (Sage 50), Via CAD, and financials.
-Carry strong communication skills with the employees and possible clients.
-Create purchase orders and track them for shop floor requirements.
-Manage the shop maintenance program.
-Be in close communication with the management at UNCI.
-Be self motivated, approachable, and bring a sense of comfort to the employees.
-Must be looking for a long term career; one you can grow in and adjust to the bumps of a new position along the way.
-Other applicable duties may be required.
