The director is responsible for creating, developing and delivering video concepts that effectively communicate our clients message and enhance their brand identity. The Director is responsible for writing and pitching creative concepts for commercials, corporate videos, internal communication, videos and short documentaries. The director works with Bamboo Shoots creative team of producers, cinematographers, editors, sound technicians, graphic artists and colourists, and oversees all elements of pre-production, production and post-production, ensuring each production achieves the highest level of quality and consistency throughout. The director is tasked with working on set with talent, clients and ad agency representatives to guarantee the best performances are captured and client satisfaction is maintained. They are also tasked with researching potential interviewees, sourcing footage, images and graphics, as well as interviewing subjects for factual and documentary short films.
The ideal candidate is creative, personable, and can effectively communicate their ideas to clients and team members. They have experience using a number of different camera technologies ranging from DSLR cameras ( 5dmkiii), ENG cameras (Panasonic P2), and digital cinema cameras (Sony f5). They are proficient editing in Adobe Premiere Pro, as well a proficiency in Photoshop, After Effects and Da Vinci Resolve is an asset. Experience working in a Multi-Camera live, live-to-tape, and streaming environment is also an asset.
