Adecco is recruiting for a full time permanent Drafting Technician job on behalf our client in Biggar,Saskatchewan.  Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for working in a team of drafts people, will liaise with the engineering team and the Production Manager on all projects,

The Drafting Technician job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
-Drafting duties which include drafting and prepare layout drawings of the given structures, components and devices, producing and amending draft designs and diagrams according to the given specifications
-Using specialized 3D software including Auto Desk Inventor 2015 and Vault to prepare drawings
-Assisting and coordinating with other drafts people
-Liaising with colleagues on the shop floor to understand drawings requirement and/or revisions
-Strong analytical skills and an ability to problem solving as issues arise  

Qualifications include:
-Ideally 3 years experience working in a similar role with another tank manufacturer or within a manufacturing environment
-Experience in both shop and field erected tanks is a definite asset
-Experience with Autodesk Inventor 2015 with Vault is a MUST

This is a hands on position and a good deal of time must be spent understanding production techniques specific to this company. Experience is a major asset, however training will be provided for the right candidate.  

This position is located in the companys head office in Biggar, Saskatchewan where all engineering, engineered drawings, project management and manufacturing are completed.  This role will require the candidate to relocate to Biggar, SK.
