We are looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal communications skills and the ability to communicate effectively with youth to provide counselling support and referrals to specialized treatment in mental health and addictions for youth community members and to also provide First Nation communities with access to various support services dependent on need.
Qualifications
* Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or related discipline and experience or a combination of educated and related experience.
* Knowledge in both mental health and addictions services.
* Knowledgeable in youth development
* Knowledge of solution focused counselling; wrap around
* Good communication skills, both written and verbal
* Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of traditional aboriginal values, beliefs and healing approaches.
* Ability to speak Cree is a definite asset.
* Experience in facilitating groups
* Ability to adhere to confidentiality guidelines.
* Must have a valid driver's license.
* Must provide a criminal record with vulnerable sector check.
