KidsFirst Casual Driver
The KidsFirst Program offers intensive supports for vulnerable children, prenatal to age three, and their families. The program is focused on promoting healthy childhood development and healthy parenting.
General Description
The Driver is a casual employee of Saskatchewan Rivers School Division reporting to the KidsFirst Program Manager. The Driver provides transportation for KidsFirst families to activities such as attending high school or adult education, and transporting children to childcare or other activities. The Driver also ensures the van is maintained and keeps records of transportation provided. This position would be ideal for someone who wants casual work to supplement retirement or other employment.
We are looking for someone who has:
- Personal suitability to work with vulnerable families
- A caring, patient, non-judgmental attitude
- Excellent interpersonal communication, time management, and organizational skills
- Knowledge of the Aboriginal community and Aboriginal culture.
- Ability to work flexible hours
A valid drivers license, driver's abstract, a criminal record check including vulnerable sector search are required upon hiring. Drivers will be trained in and must adhere to Government of Saskatchewan Central Vehicle Agency (CVA) policies and procedures.
