Description

Bourgault Industries is looking for a talented and motivated Design Engineer to join our Tooling & Facilities Engineering team at our main office in St. Brieux, SK. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting manufacturing processes by designing specialized equipment, fixtures and facilities.

Responsibilities:
- Design specialized manufacturing equipment using CAD software
- Design jigs and fixtures used for fabrication, machining, welding and assembly used in the production of various Bourgault products
- Complete background research and justification to provide recommendations regarding new manufacturing equipment or processes
- Oversee the building and commissioning of new equipment and fixtures
- Troubleshoot and modify designs of existing fixtures and equipment
- Complete documentation including user guides, parts break down, assembly drawings and maintenance manuals for custom made equipment

Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Strong computer skills, including experience with SolidWorks, Microsoft Office, and ERP software
- Familiar with Finite Element Analysis and at least one FEA software program
Knowledge of CAD drawing standards and tolerances
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Effective interpersonal and leadership skills
Knowledge of metal fabrication equipment, processes and capabilities
- High degree of analytical thought and creativity
- Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and enhance personal skills and abilities
- Ability to do hands-on work in the building and commissioning of fixtures and equipment
