The WATER QUALITY TECHNICIAN is part of a multi-disciplinary health team, which aims to monitor the safety and quality of water available to people in the Battle River Treaty 6 Health Centre Inc. service area. The WATER QUALITY TECHNICIAN will work under the general guidance of the Executive Director and under the direct supervision of the Community Health Director, with input from the Environmental Health Officer on the day to day operation of the program.
Qualifications and Skills
* Minimum Grade 12 Diploma
* Completed Water Quality Certification or the eligibility and willingness to achieve Water Quality Certification
* Knowledge of and sensitivity to the First Nations language, culture and traditions; knowledge of Plains Cree Language is a definite asset
* Must be able to work as an effective team member and to work independently, in a self- motivated manner.
* Must possess a valid drivers license
* Must be computer literate including database maintenance
* Must possess knowledge in reporting requirements
* Must provide a clear criminal record check with vulnerable sector
