Fishing Lake First Nation #89 School is located 11 km west and 3.5 km south of Wadena. The school offers PreK/Kindergarten to Grade 12.
Under the general direction of the principal, the Nutritional Assistant will manage food services to students, delivering high quality, nutritious meals in a safe and healthy environment as an integral part of the school team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
PREFERENCE WILL BE GIVEN TO CANDIDATES WHO POSSESS:
Grade 12 diploma or equivalent training and experience
Safe Food Handling course
A certificate or diploma as a Good Service Worker or related training would be an asset
Valid drivers license
Experience managing kitchen operations and inventories would be an asset
Travel within the community may be required to purchase groceries and supplies
Some lifting may be required
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge and application of Canadas Food Guide
Ability to use cooking equipment
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to prepare, coordinate and deliver nutritious meals in a timely and efficient manner
Ability to work independently
Committed to working with children and youth in a school setting
