The Water Security Agency (WSA) is a unique organization in Canada - bringing together all of government's core water management responsibilities in one place. We manage the province's water supply, protect water quality, ensure safe drinking water and treatment of wastewater, own and manage 49 dams and related water supply channels, reduce flood and drought damage, protect aquatic habitat and provide information about water.
Reporting to the Supervisor, Regional Services, an employee in this job will provide technical and administrative advice and support to clients and staff specific to water resource management issues and/or related events within a specific geographic area of the province. Duties and responsibilities will primarily focus on regulatory approvals, complaints investigation and resolution, watershed operations activities, provision of technical and administrative assistance to clients and participating in the in the delivery of WSA sponsored programs.
The successful candidate should possess a Diploma in Water Resources Engineering Technology or a similar technical discipline, and will have, or immediately obtain and maintain certification with Saskatchewan Applied Science Technologists and Technicians (SASTT) as an Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T.).
