Cando is looking for an experienced Operations Supervisor to lead a team of mechanical railcar repair employees and railcar cleaners, with the future addition of switching personnel at an
industrial site in Colonsay, SK.
The Operations Supervisor will assist in prioritizing railcar movements and railcar repair and cleaning activities while working as part of the team. Along with mentoring employees, monitoring safety programs, and performing general site administrative tasks, the Supervisor will act as the primary daily contact for the customer ensuring customer needs are met.
Top candidates will have experience in railcar maintenance and repair, and railcar switching. Key qualifications include:
-A history in positions of increasing supervisor responsibility in a railway, construction or heavy equipment environment.
-Strong leadership, organization, and planning skills along with a demonstrated commitment to teamwork and employee development.
-Experience with behavior-based safety programs and a passion for customer satisfaction and continuous process improvement
-Strong communication skills
Individuals must be in good physical condition, meet all site security and safety requirements including safety critical medicals, drug and alcohol clearances, and criminal record checks.
