Senior Payroll Clerk
Full-time, Temporary (approx. 6 months), In-scope
Regina, SK

The Senior Payroll Clerk provides a lead role in the accurate and timely processing of payroll. This position is responsible for payroll data verification to ensure proper authorization of pay according to company policies, the CBA, and relevant legislation. In addition to processing, analyzing, and recording payroll information using Ceridian Insync, this position also provides a complete range of payroll support services to other departments in the organization, managers, and employees. Because this is a senior in-scope role, the successful incumbent must be a leading team player, working independently within set guidelines in meeting strict and often tight timelines.

The successful candidate will have a diploma in Accounting or Administration from a recognized post-secondary institution OR the Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) certification combined with a minimum of two years payroll experience. Experience working in a unionized environment is an asset. You must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as have proven superior skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships. You must also have knowledge of provincial and federal legislation regarding hours of work, CPP, EI, and Income Tax.

For detailed information regarding this career opportunity, please visit our website at www.stcbus.com/careers.

The successful candidate will be subject to a Criminal Record Check as a condition of employment.

STC thanks all applicants for their interest and advises that only those candidates being considered will be contacted.

STC is committed to building a representative workforce.
