Description

Duties and responsibilities:
Under the general direction of the Special Needs Equipment Senior Repair Technician II and following established policies and procedures, the successful candidate will perform warehousing duties including shipping and receiving, monitoring and maintaining adequate inventory levels, cleaning and minor repair on equipment and other necessary steps to prepare equipment for issue to clients.  
Duties include:
-    Assess returned equipment for suitability for re-issue and perform necessary cleaning, repair and documentation tasks to return the equipment to inventory.  
-    Prepare equipment (wheelchairs, walkers, commodes, hospital beds, etc.) for issue to clients ensuring that it meets requisition specifications.
-    Perform shipping/receiving related duties such as preparation of manifests, receiving documentation, and boxing and labeling of equipment.  
-    Assist with inventory management and program inventory counts.
-    Communicate with therapists and other health care professionals, clients/caregivers, suppliers and the general public in person or on the phone regarding program policies and procedures, equipment types and availability.
-    Perform other administrative, customer service and equipment maintenance duties as assigned to ensure the efficient operation of the depot.    

Qualifications:
Education:
-    Grade 12 or equivalent
-    Fork lift certification is an asset
Skills:
-    Good oral communication skills with previous customer service experience
-    Strong organizational skills for handling multiple priorities and meeting deadlines
-    Good analytical and problem solving skills and attention to detail
-    Basic computer skills

The final candidates are required to provide satisfactory police record checks.
