Job Description: The Social Worker Degree reports to the Manager of St. Peter's Hospital. The Social Worker Degree is responsible to identify, assess, intervene, and follow-up patients in St. Peter's Hospital and Long Term Care facilities in Melville and Ituna. The Social Worker Degree will provide for social, emotional, and cultural needs of patients and their families in St. Peter's Hospital and Long Term Care facilities in Melville and Ituna.
Required Qualifications

Bachelor Degree in Social Work
Registered or eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan Association of Social Workers (SASW)
Experience
One (1) year experience in Social Work.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Basic computer skills
Ability to travel both within the region and provincially
Ability and willingness to work within the Health Facility in assigned areas, helping with patient care and performing within the scope of practice
Demonstrated abilitiy to maintain a positive attitude, a pleasant manner, and harmonious working relationship
Other Information

Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement

Hours of Work: Shift Information: Days
112.00 hours per 3 week rotation: 14 shifts of 8.00 hours
