Sensus Partnership of Chartered Professional Accountants is currently seeking an experienced CPA to join the Sensus team in the role of Senior Accountant in our Yorkton, SK office. The individual chosen must act as lead for all areas of office operations including engagement planning and completion, client relationships, staff supervision and facility management.
Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge:
-A Chartered Professional Accountant designation is required.
-A minimum of 5 years of public accounting experience including audit, review and notice to reader engagements and the preparation of personal and corporate tax returns.
-Experience in owner-managed, small to mid-size businesses is essential. Experience with not-for-profits would be considered an asset.
-Proven ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
-Experience with the accounting software, Caseware and with the tax software, Profile would be considered an asset.
-Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal and written), negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication with our clients, as well as with our partners and staff.
-Ability to handle sensitive issues diplomatically and confidentially.
-Ability to work independently and as an integral team member.
-Proven ability leading people and demonstrated success as a collaborator, including demonstrated emotional intelligence, teambuilding and coaching skills.
