Aboriginal Family Services is seeking to hire Early Childhood Classroom Helpers who are passionate working with children, have a gift to help and promote a healthy work environment. In this position you will support the Early Childhood Educators/Bus Drivers/Cooks. You will play a supporting role on the interdisciplinary team providing Early Learning programming and services that are assist the Early Childhood Educators/Bus Drivers/Cooks in a Head Start setting, which provides a comprehensive program to meet educational, emotional, social, health, nutritional, and psychological needs of children responsive to the diversity of the populations we serve.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:
Grade (12) or GED, plus Certificate in Early Childhood Education or a combination of relevant education, training and experience in early childhood education, with an understanding of child development and age appropriate activity programming.
(1-2) years working with children in a supervisory role.
Current CPR/First Aid certificate
A Criminal Record Check is required
Register with the Ministry of Social Services Child Abuse Registry is required
