Our local client has a temporary opening in their payroll department to cover a maternity leave, and we are looking to fill it with a qualified and driven candidate!
This is a great opportunity for those payroll specialists who want the challenge of high volumes of payroll and the flexibility of a temporary position.
You will:
- Process payroll for 250+ employees
- Answer any enquiries regarding vacation/scheduling/payroll
- Liaise with senior payroll staff and assist with certain projects
- Collect payroll information and paperwork from new employees
- Inform new employees on time sheet submission and other payroll procedures
- Maintain employee files so they are organized and easily accessible if needed
- Report any variances or questionable submissions to senior staff
Education & Experience:
- Payroll certification and/or HR training preferred
- Office education considered an asset
- Minimum 5 years experience doing high volumes of payroll
Personality/Desired attributes:
- Strong organization skills
- Keen eye for detail, especially when working with large volumes of data and paperwork
- A willingness and drive to help other staff when workload requires it
- Fast, efficient and accurate data entry/word processing skills
- Desire to work hard and be an asset to the team
