The primary responsibility of this position is to support the design and work in conjunction with the HR Advisory Services Manager to support the Labour Relations strategy. Duties include, but are not limited to: providing subject matter expertise in the collective bargaining negotiations process and addressing long term standing issues; managing grievances and arbitration; providing advice on contract administration, grievance handling, legislative interpretation, employment and labour law, occupational health and safety, and arbitral jurisprudence for CRC, including general policy development. Additional responsibilities include contributing to a labour strategy that will institute best practices to support the needs of the business; preparing for contract negotiations; researching, designing, and preparing revisions of corporate processes and policies in human resources related to labour relations; and coaching, educating, and communicating labour relations strategies.

Qualifications include a Bachelors degree in Commerce, Business Administration, or Law, with a preference for HR, paired with a minimum 7 years combined HR experience with a minimum 5 years of labour relations experience. A CHRP designation would be considered an asset.
