Reporting to a Maintenance Superintendent, the Senior Planner will be accountable for all the planning organizations activities and costs. This position ensures that the planning of maintenance of mine equipment is carried out in a safe, effective and cost effective manner. This position combines the responsibilities for planning, scheduling, execution, continuous improvement, and staffing to ensure company standards are maintained.
Job requirements include a journeyman's ticket or engineering degree with demonstrated strengths in leadership, organization, communication and employee relations skills. Significant past supervisory / lead experience is required. Previous planning and scheduling experience or demonstrated planning and scheduling ability are preferred. Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office functions particularly Excel, Outlook and Word are necessary.
The ability to meet deadlines is essential. Familiarity with the maintenance processes and reliability system software is an asset. Must be a proven team player and work well leading in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment.
