RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting directly to the Health Program Manager the Daycare Coordinator is responsible for carrying out the duties as outlined herein.
DUTIES
1.Adhere to the Personnel Policy Manual as set out by the Yellow Quill First Nation Chief and Council;
2.Maintain strict confidentiality at all times;
3.Must understand, support and participate in the community enhancement initiatives in working towards the vision of YellowQuill First Nation which improves the quality of life;
4.Ensure the planning, organizing, supervision and control of the centers programs and resources all within the specifications of the Saskatchewan First Nations Childcare Policies and Regulations;
5.Welcome parents and provide them with requested information;
6.Encourage and coordinate parent participation in the Daycare/Headstart special activities;
7.Promote the services of the Daycare/Headstart program in the community;
8.Develop the Headstart program based on the six Headstart program components;
9.Chair regular parent meetings and promote the Daycare/Headstart center and its service;
10.Coordinate the implementation of the daily programming;
11.Maintain up-to-date files of children/parents utilizing the center;
12.Oversee the development of the children in care of the center;
13.Supervise the integration of new children and ensures that each child receives the attention necessary for normal development;
14.Coordinate, schedule and supervise all daycare staff;
15.Demonstrate leadership and administrative skills;
16.Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment for Daycare/Headstart;
