Community Inclusion Consultant

The Saskatchewan Association for Community Living (SACL) is an exciting and dynamic provincial not-for-profit agency that provides ongoing support and advocacy to individuals with intellectual disabilities. The SACL is seeking an individual to be the Community Inclusion Consultant responsible for provincial Self-Advocacy programming. This position provides leadership, administration and support to Self-Advocacy programming across the province including the Individual and Collective Advocacy Network and other Self-Advocacy Initiatives. Working with Self-Advocates this position provides public education and training, promoting inclusion across the province.
The ideal candidate will have experience working directly with individuals with intellectual disabilities and will be able to put the vision & mission of the SACL into action while doing so. As well, the Individual will have experience with event planning, group facilitation, and public speaking. This position requires someone who is dynamic and outgoing that can establish meaningful relationships quickly. This position will have a lot of independence and autonomy however is part of an active and busy team.
This position will be based out of Saskatoon however will require frequent travel across the province up to 50% of the time. There is evening and week end work associated with this position.
This is a term position until April 30, 2017 with the possibility of renewal.
