DSI Underground Canada Ltd. (DSI) scope of business includes the manufacturing and supply of ground support equipment for the Mining industries. Its systems are known worldwide for innovation, quality and reliability
    
DSI  Saskatoon is currently looking for an organized and team oriented Quality and Health and Safety Coordinator to join the DSI team.  The Quality and Health & Safety Coordinator is responsible for leading, participating and coordinating all quality and safety related functions for the facility. DSI Saskatoon is currently registered with ISO 9001, 18001 and 14001.

    
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

-Coordinating training for all staff related to safety and quality
-Ensuring the promotion and awareness of customer requirements
-Coordination internal and external ISO audits on an annual basis
-Conduct root cause analysis and providing recommendations for continuous improvement
-Conduct pull test on all manufactured product
-Reporting injury reports to appropriate internal and external parties
-Coordinating monthly safety meetings

Qualification and Requirements:
-Minimum of 3 years experience in a quality control and/or health and safety role.
-Secondary education or several years experience in ISO 9001:2008, 18001 and 14001 would be considered an asset
-Knowledge of MS Office, specifically in Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
-Knowledge of lean manufacturing concepts
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Ability to organize and prioritize projects
-Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems, or issues, by using judgment that is consistent with standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulation and the law
-Ability to work independently and work with little supervision
-Strong organizational skills and follow through on commitments and deadlines
-Takes pride in attention to detail and accuracy
