Description

CanNorth is seeking a highly flexible individual to work with our talented and innovative multidisciplinary team in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan for an undisclosed period of time.  Responsibilities in this position will include:

- Ensuring compliance with all environment permits, regulatory requirements, legislation, government approvals, and project environmental protection plans.
- Implementation of environmental field studies (e.g. environmental assessments, mitigation plans, etc.).  
- Potential handling of wildlife.
- Liaising with contractors and clients at construction sites.
- Data collection and management.

Applicants should have a degree in biology with previous experience in a consulting environment.  Applicants should have a good knowledge of the environmental management process regarding planning, approvals, mitigation and reclamation.  The candidate must have superior communication skills, and be able to correspond with clients and contractors in a professional way.  The successful applicant also must be a team player, highly motivated and have a positive attitude.  Applicants must have a drivers license and be able to drive a boat (PCOC). Certification in First Aid is considered an asset. This position entails a substantial amount of field work, thus applicants must be willing/able to be away for extended periods of time (up to several weeks).
