The mandate of the Director of Rooms is to lead and assist in the planning and direction of all Room Division operations, ensuring the balance between delivering excellent and consistent guest service, maximizing bottom line results and the highest potential from all colleagues.
Direct operational needs to ensure compliance with the hotels daily, weekly and annual business and strategic plan. Full awareness and attention must be directed at hotel business levels to include occupancy and forecasts.
Ensure the monthly financial outlooks for the Rooms Division are on time, on target and accurate.
Plays a lead role in the management of Rooms.
Play a lead role with the General Manager, Director of Sales & Marketing, Revenue Management in yield management for Rooms Division.
Ensure implementation and delivery of all operational Delta Standards and Brand Operating Procedures throughout the Delta Guest Experience.
Ensure continuous improvements of the daily hotel operations and co-ordination of the operating department through their respective department heads.
Monitor, direct and act on staffing levels, productivity targets, and operating cost to maximize monthly retention goals.
Update and ensure deployment and awareness of the business continuity plan, emergency plans and environmental initiatives.
