MOA is an integral member of the health care team, reporting to the Office Manager. The MOA is responsible for assisting providers in delivering high quality health care to patients and their families.
An MOA Demonstrates understanding of and sensitivity to culturally diverse customs and traditions impacting health care. Self-directed, ability to perform job with minimum supervision. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to accurately document and maintain the patient's file in the electronic medical record. Ability to use and maintain medical equipment and monitoring devices. Ability to maintain quality, safety and infection control standards. Takes responsibility for all work activities and personal actions, follows through on commitments. Shares and receives information, opinions, concerns, and feedback in a supportive manner. Ability to follow established processes for booking external appointments. Knowledge of HIPA and the importance of patient confidentiality and privacy
