POSITION AND SCOPE

The Assistant Operator is responsible to provide onsite support services for Envirotec's Vacuum Truck and Industrial Services Division which performs a very diverse range of activities including: hydro-excavating, hazardous waste loading and hauling, confined space entry, hazardous materials spill cleanup, car wash interceptor pit cleaning, sewage hauling. The successful applicant will complete these labour based tasks with a focus on safety, professionalism and teamwork.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES-

-Class 5 Saskatchewan Drivers License with a clean drivers abstract
-General safety knowledge, experience and awareness
-Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform high labour intensity tasks in a team environment
-Positive, self-motivated attitude

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

-Unload product from vacuum trucks into designated tanks or totes
-Provide onsite support during projects or multiple services requiring additional personnel
-Perform general maintenance and upkeep of tools and equipment
-Wash and shovel sumps
-Prepare for specialized jobs by preparing units with required materials
-Participate in Envirotecs safety program including safety meetings, last-minute risk assessments and job hazard assessments

Please note, this position is located in the Regina area with no relocation assistance available.

Please also note, the selected individual will be required to hold valid certificates in CSE, Fall Arrest and H2S Alive. These are not required to apply, but the chosen individual would be required to obtain prior to the start date. Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required.
