Description

David Aplin Group, one of Canada's Best Managed Companies, has partnered with our client to recruit an experienced, results driven, customer focused individual to join their Payroll department to cover a term Payroll Administrator position.

As the Payroll Administrator your primary responsibilities will include processing the full cycle payroll with specific ORACLE and ADP experience. The incumbent candidate should be a team player, quick learner, organized and have efficient time management skills and be able to assist in both the payroll function as well as the HR function.

The Role:

Responsible for full cycle payroll processing Check and distribute all payroll documents
Experience with ORACLE and ADP is required
Orientation with new employees regarding company policies and culture
Setting up new hires in the ADP HR Resource Partner
Updating systems such as GWL and PAW
Complete year end procedures as required (T4's, T4A's, W2's, filing annual government returns, etc.)
Assist the Payroll and HR Administrator by working with ADP HR and Payroll modules to prepare bi-monthly payrolls
Assist with sorting and distributing biweekly pay stubs and annual T4's and T2200's
Contact ADP for any related issues with associates pay as required
Create new hire files and filing for the documents received in payroll

The Ideal Candidate:

1 - 2 years minimum Payroll experience
Experience with ORACLE mandatory; ADP experience an asset
Experience managing payroll for 400+ employees
Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Ability to work well independently with a multitude of deadlines and alterations
Exceptional written and oral communication skills and the ability to compose and edit documents
Ensuring effective and efficient administration of the senior management office
Extensive knowledge of accounting and spreadsheets
Work with minimal supervision
