Description

Edge Transportation Services Ltd., a member of Siemens Transportation Group Inc., requires a General Manager for their Saskatoon, SK location.

Responsibilities
    Direct all operations with a view to maximize productivity and profitability
    Formulate sales strategies and sales plans and participate in their execution
    Solicit new business opportunities and build on existing relationships
    Develop short and long term objectives and business plans
    Oversee equipment maintenance and safety certifications
    Control the operational execution of available capacity and service while ensuring corporate utilization and revenues goals are achieved
    Maximize equipment utilization

Qualifications
    5 - 10 years in flat deck transportation management
    3  5 years in heavy haul - preferred
    Proven management skills and track record
    Sales experience
    Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
    Excellent problem solving skills and analytical skills
    Proven ability to implement and maintain key performance indexes
    Demonstrated team building methods and techniques
