FCL invites applications for the position of Senior Retail Accounting Manager in our home office located in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

The Senior Retail Accounting Manager will direct the Retail Accounting Department team in providing accounting services for approximately 100 retail co-operatives and FCL Enterprises with combined annual sales including reporting to the General Managers and Board of Directors. They will provide leadership and professional support to Retail Financial Managers at all retail co-operatives on implementing and maintaining accounting standards, meeting legislative requirements in accounting, maintaining consistency in financial reporting as well as innovative solutions to improve efficiency. They will work collaboratively with the Senior Manager of Retail Information Systems, Human Resources, and Finance to develop and deliver learning and professional development programs for retail accounting employees as well as Retail Financial Managers. They will lead the development of a business plan and budget for the department and participate in the business plan for the Business Unit and will guide each team member in the development of goals to support the business plan and monitor progress towards those goals.

The successful candidate will have a University degree with a major in Accounting and 8+ years of combined accounting experience, which includes 3+ years of supervisory experience. Professional accounting designation is required (CMA, CGA, CA).
