On behalf of our client, we are currently seeking an AutoCAD Designer/Drafter to assist with custom metal and glass work for residential and commercial properties.
Skills:
- Proficient knowledge of AutoCAD is a must.
- Communication: must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Mathematical: must be able to perform all basic math functions to include the addition and subtraction of fractions. Must be able to read a tape measure. Basic knowledge of geometry and trigonometry preferred.
- Artistic ability, must be able to draw custom designs, create architectural interpretations
Qualities:
- Resourceful, independent, strong communicator, takes initiative, comfortable asking questions or seeking clarification, easy going and light hearted
Experience:
- Architecture and/or Engineering knowledge/experience is preferred
- Metal & glass knowledge a definite asset (drawings can include, but are not limited to: windows, entrance systems, railings, counter tops, backsplash, and range hoods)
- This position is open to new grads our client is open to providing training for the right candidate.
Education:
- Post-secondary education or training in construction design and manufacturing preferred but not necessary. Ability to read blue prints is considered an asset.
