Job Description: An exciting career opportunity exists in La Ronge, Saskatchewan in the Therapies Department for an energetic, knowledgeable, caring professional who can exercise sound clinical judgment.  Working within a multidisciplinary therapies team, the Occupational Therapist will provide services to patients of all ages. These services will aim at developing the skills patients need for the job of living. The incumbent will deliver Occupational Therapy services through a combination of direct service, community resource development and education to children, youth, adults and their families throughout the process of subsequent interventions.

To qualify, you will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Baccalaureate degree in Occupational therapy
Must be licensed or eligible for licensure by the Saskatchewan Society of Occupational Therapists and be eligible for membership in the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists.
Clinical experience with a pediatric population is desired.
Ability to conduct group and individual educational sessions
Ability to function as a member of the multidisciplinary Therapy team
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
Excellent interpersonal skills
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of and respect for aboriginal health concepts
Ability to work in a cross-cultural setting
Valid Saskatchewan Drivers License
The successful candidate shall be required to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check


Geographic Location: Based out of La Ronge. Expected to travel to outpost communities
Expected Start Date: August 15, 2016
FTE: 1.00
