Valley Dance Association is seeking a ballet focused instructor for 1-2 evenings of instruction for the upcoming 2016-17 season (starting in September and ending at the start of May). We are a small non-profit community organization of approximately 50 dancers aged 3 -18, located in Fort QuAppelle, SK. Valley Dance has been in existence for 42 years offering instruction in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop and musical theatre. We historically attend 2-3 competitions a dance year, perform at small community events and hold an annual recital.
The applicant should be skilled and certified to teach beginner to senior ballet classes and beginner pointe. Ability to test students in CDTA or RDA would be a definite asset as some of our more experienced dancers have completed exams previously. Wage to be negotiated depending on qualifications and experience. Mileage is also paid at a very competitive rate. The successful candidate will work with another instructor and be supported by an executive parent board.
