LOGISTIC OFFICER (SEA)

A Career with the Naval Reserve in Regina

HMCS QUEEN is Reginas Naval Reserve Division, offering part-time and full time employment as part of the Royal Canadian Navy. We are an excellent opportunity for students looking to supplement their income during the school year where we work one night/week and one Saturday/month, September-April. We then offer full time employment during the summer months, May-August. There is also no minimum obligation of service to the Naval Reserve.

Logistics Officers in the Naval Reserve plan, provide, and coordinate basic logistical support to the Royal Canadian Navy and the Canadian Armed Forces. These logistical supports include finances, human resources, food, and material services at Naval Reserve Divisions, bases, headquarters, and to exercises and deployed operations.

Overview

The responsibilities of a Logistics Officer include:
    Human resources
    Financial services including accounting, budget control, and planning
    Coordination of food services, material procurement, and distribution
    Planning and coordinating the delivery of logistics services to units deployed on exercises or operations

Benefits include:
    University reimbursement program ($2000/year up to a max of $8000, no obligations of service after)

Qualifications

Successful candidates must meet all of the age, citizenship, and education requirements outlined below:

    Be 16-56 years of age (parental consent required under 18)
    Be a Canadian Citizen
    Must have or currently be pursuing a baccalaureate degree in accounting, business administration, commerce, economics, finance, food business management, food sciences, hospitality management, human resources management, industrial relations, nutrition/dietetics, public administration, or supply chain management
