Description

Spearing Service LP specializes in diversified oilfield trucking by a broad range of services to oil companies in southeastern Saskatchewan, southwestern Manitoba and North Dakota.

We require an energetic, team orientated person to fulfill the roll of Fleet Maintenance Manager.

Job Duties:
Assume overall responsibility for shop management; overseeing shop employees, equipment & asset repair, maintenance and fleet management, parts inventory and procurement.
Supervise and enforce rules, process and procedures.
Set goals and objectives.
Develop a positive work environment, assign and monitor job tasks.
Write requisitions, follow up with suppliers.
Ensure cooperative relationships between shop and other teams are maintained and support organizational goals.
Ensure quality of workmanship through verification of services.
Ensure compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, and safety.
Identify, investigate, correct and document potential environmental and safety problems.
Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
Train shop staff in job duties, safety procedures and company policy.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of service technology and techniques.

Qualifications:
Must have past history of shop management experience
Supervisory experience with demonstrated motivating, training, and general supervisory skills.
Sound judgment, strong supervisory, time management and interpersonal skills.
Self-starter; with ability to handle change.
Proven mechanical abilities able to trouble shoot repair issues & warranty knowledge.
Demonstrate TDG knowledge or the ability to learn.
Experience with PMP.
Knowledge of provincial and federal traffic compliance.
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office productivity suite.
