Plumbing and Pipefitting Instructor, Pelican Narrows, SK

Northlands College is a leading employer in northern Saskatchewan for both instructional and non-instructional jobs and careers. We have campuses in various communities across the north and have built strong partnerships with agencies and institutions to provide well-rounded programs and courses.
The Instructor is responsible for delivering all aspects of the Plumbing and Pipefitting program. Courses may include, but are not limited to: Blueprint Reading; Plumbing/Pipefitting Mathematics; Gas fitting; Safety, Knots, and Rigging; Trade Science; Hydronic Heating Systems; Introduction to Steam Boilers; and Basic Tools and Materials. Additional responsibilities will include: classroom management, taking attendance and submitting it to the Program Assistant on a regular basis, monitoring student progress and submitting reports to the Program Coordinator on a regular basis, setting up and monitoring work placements and other duties as assigned.
The minimal qualifications for this position are: a Red Seal Plumbing Ticket and a Domestic Gas Certificate, a minimum of two years of experience as a plumber a valid driver's license and strong communication and interpersonal skills. A relevant combination of education and experience may be considered
