Description

SUMMARY:    The Finance Clerk will be supervised by the Director of Finance with the overall accountability to Chief & Council.  The Finance Clerk will be responsible for providing clerical support to the staff in the finance department, employees, band membership, and Chief & Council.
-    Must have Grade 12 or equivalent
-    Knowledge and some experience in basic accounting.
-    Possess some computerized accounting practices preferred, but willing to train.
-    Be able to process cheque requisition and reports of the same when requested.
-    Possess excellent communication skills written and oral.
-    Must be able to work independently and cooperatively as a team member.
-    Must be willing to work extended hours when requested due to demand.
-    Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor and/ or designated.
-    Must have strong organizational skills, be able to type and file.
-    Must possess good client relations skills and serve the public in a positive manner.
-    Be able to work with minimum supervision and take direction.
-    Sign an Oath of Confidentiality.
