This is a Workforce Development Program - Must be unemployed; legally entitled to work in Saskatchewan; and face multiple barriers to obtaining or maintaining employment . Program is to provide on the job training to gain/enhance skills for working with children and parents in crises. **To apply, Complete a registration form at Can Sask Labour Market Services to determine program eligibility. Provide a resume along with 3 references.
Must have a valid insurable class 5 drivers licence. A Criminal Record Check and Vulernable Sector Check will be required if successful candidate. Must be responsible, caring and able to work with and enjoy children. Must be enthusiastic and dependable. Knowledge of working with children an asset.
DUTIES: To care and supervise children to age 12 in a home style environment. Assist in household management such as cooking, cleaning, laundry. Transport children to appointments, school, and on outings. On the job training will be provided for increased duties as program progresses. Will be opportunity for further employment upon successful program completion.
