Description

Brandt is currently seeking a Manager of Development Projects.  The Manager of Development Projects is responsible for driving the success of the project throughout its lifecycle in accordance with the companys business strategy, business plan and approved project budget.  They commission the services of in house design and constructions services or outsource for services when necessary and are responsible for:

    Market research and study;
    Networking with industry partners;
    Identify opportunities for development projects;
    Negotiate property acquisitions;
    Identify the vision or goal for each project;
    Establish design criteria, determine market-driven design demands;
    Site analysis, including preliminary identification of development constraints;
    Prepare conceptual development plans;
    Lead the project team to meet the project objectives;
    Create the initial and ongoing project communication plan;
    Identify, manage and resolve project issues;
    Manage the project scope and overall schedule;
    Liaise with municipal authorities regarding post-construction reviews and approvals;
    Manage commissioning of completed building project;
    Manage turnover to property manager and/or customer;
    Evaluation of project design and assembly of feedback from project partners;

DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
    High school diploma or GED
    Preference given to postsecondary education in a field related to land development;
    Previous experience working within development industry;
    Demonstrated success in leading others;
    Previous experience managing complex and multiple projects simultaneously;
    Experience and ability to understand financial reporting, projections and costing models;
    Ability to skillfully negotiate;
    Strong communication, leadership, and problem solving skills;
    Ability to read construction documents and/or drawings;
