WRITERS - INTERMEDIATE LEVEL (freelance leading to possible full-time)

New glossy, upscale, lifestyle magazine to Regina is looking for freelance writers, to write editorial and advertorial content.

SPECIFIC DUTIES
    Writing/proofing for editorial & advertorial features
    Contacting and performing client phone interviews and some face-to-face interviews
    Originate & develop suitable editorial material for publications with your team
    Attending and contribute at regular staff meetings
    Represent the company at various functions
    Other typical writing duties

IMPORTANT ATTRIBUTES
    Creative, passionate, pro-active
    Very organized & able to multi-task
    Good communication skills
    Some resolve, to deal with challenging sources/clients
    Meticulous attention to detail
    Maintain concentration while working under pressure
    Knowledge of computers, word processing, spreadsheets, email, etc.
    Knowledge of Canadian Press Style or comparable preferred
    Photography expertise is a benefit

EDUCATION
You have a degree in journalism, English or a related field.  Business acumen/contacts desirable.

Other Requirements: Own transportation for occasional face-to-face interviews.
