Description

The Saskatoon Downtown Youth Centre Inc. - EGADZ requires an Outreach Worker and individual interested in Full Time shifts for Baby Steps within EGADZ.
(Shift Work Is Involved - Evenings/Weekends)

EGADZ is an inter-agency, non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide services for hard to serve youth in Saskatoon with the mission to encourage and support them to make choices that improve their quality of life.
Baby Steps believes that the parent must be involved in case plans involving their children and their own personal needs to have long term success. Baby steps often provide the last chance for re-unification with parent and child. Baby steps will provide the opportunity for parent(s) to visit and strengthen the bond and allowing the parent access on an ongoing and flexible basis.


The ideal candidates are non judgmental, compassionate and are able to build trusting relationships with clients.

Qualifications:

Post secondary education in the human services field, equivalent experience or a combination of both
Demonstrate and practice a healthy lifestyle
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with youth, staff and partnering agencies and maintain strict confidentiality and appropriate boundaries
Ability to express ideas and concepts effectively in an oral and written form
Working knowledge of computers/windows
Knowledge of Aboriginal and cultures and issues
Must have a valid drivers license that reflects a safe driving record - A Driver's Abstract is Required (Within 3 Months).
Criminal Records Check including Vulnerable Persons (Within 6 Months)
Ability to work shift work is a must-days/evenings as well as weekends

Salaries are based on EGADZ current salary grid. $18.40 - $19.60 per hour.
