YMCA of Regina is the designated Community Entity of the Homelessness Partnering Strategy. Answering to the Senior Director of Partnerships, the Director of Homelessness Partnering and Indigenous/Non-Indigenous Collaboration is part of a team that:
Facilitates the delivery of the Federal Governments Homelessness Partnering Strategy funds for Regina and Rural Saskatchewan.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with the HPS team and funded partners to help improve the cultural competency of service delivery to Indigenous people experiencing homelessness in Regina.
Working closely with the HPS team and funded partners to help improve cultural competency and understanding within HPS-funded organizations.
Developing relationships with potential partner organizations who serve Indigenous people experiencing homelessness in Regina .
Working closely with HPS team and Reginas Community Advisory Board to review and implement relevant Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada Calls to Action.
Other Duties:
Help develop Call for Proposals.
Work with the Advisory Boards for Regina and Rural Saskatchewan to maximize effectiveness of Homelessness Partnering Strategy funding.
Support the reporting on annual work plan and investment plan; including submission of Project Results reporting and sub-project results reporting to Service Canada
Works with the HPS team to communicate and advocate for ending Homelessness in Regina
Plans events to support and engage various sub-projects and non-profits working on homelessness issues (Training or otherwise)
Work within a team setting to encourage open relationships for maximum organizational effectiveness.
Demonstrates and promotes a personal understanding of and appreciation for the mission, vision, strategic outcomes and values of the YMCA.
Participation in YMCA community opportunities as they arise.
