Description

We are currently hiring for a FUNDRAISING COORDINATOR.

The incumbent will have key responsibilities including:
- envisioning and executing fundraising efforts including special events and initiatives, corporate donations and sponsorships, direct mail programs, planned giving.
- Manage a portfolio of fundraising events
- Plan and execute events
- Develop marketing strategies for events and initiatives
- Create fundraising opportunities
- Prepare and distribute personalized materials including reports, presentations, newsletter, thank you notes
- Recruit, train and manage volunteers
- Manage social media

Your Competencies will include:
- Drive - must be a resourceful, motivated self starter that can meet and exceed fundraising goals and quotas; maintain and establish collaborative relationships with sponsors
- Initiative - Proficient in time and general management skills while demonstrating the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a variety of personalities
- Communication Skills - Excellent written and oral skills with a comfort level in public speaking
- Professionalism - Work in a fast paced environment with a willingness to work individually and as a team player; complete administrative tasks and develop strategies to achieve organizational goals
- Attitude - Upbeat, enthusiastic, creative, passionate and a positive thinker
- Flexibility - Able to multi task in a changing work environment; manage competing demands and unexpected events; be willing to change approach to best fit the situation
- Dependability - Follow instruction, take responsibility for own actions and keep commitments

Qualifications:
- Education Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Business / Non-profit Management / Public Relations or a Diploma in Event Management
- Previous experience in non profit / fundraising an asset
