The International Centre for Northern Governance and Development (ICNGD) and the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy's (JSGS) University of Saskatchewan campus are inviting applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The successful candidate will have expertise in any area of governance and public policy and will be conversant with economic and social development in rural, Indigenous and northern locales. Exceptional candidates at the full professor level may be considered.
The successful candidate will play a leading role in the delivery and oversight of graduate student programming in the International Centre for Northern Governance and Development. The candidate will be expected to assist with management of two graduate programs: the Masters of Northern Governance and Development and the GENI (Joint Masters in Governance and Entrepreneurship in Northern Indigenous Regions, offered jointly with the University of Tromso). The appointee will develop an active, externally funded research program and contribute to the academic life of the JSGS and ICNGD. The candidates primary responsibilities will involve the graduate program and teaching within GENI and MNGD and research on the Canadian and global sub-Arctic; and the individual will participate in the collegial and academic processes within JSGS.
