Description

Duties
    Client Care
o    Plan children activities
    Plan and purchase in-house recreation, crafts and educational program supplies
o    As part of the Support Team
    Maintain case plans and coordinate with Social Services as needed
    Plan structure, guidance, and a safe home-like environment
o    Assess, listen, support, validate and document interaction
o    Provide transportation as required
o    Referrals and advocating
o    Ensure liaise with schools is maintained
    Daily Operations
o    Ensure adequate supplies are maintained with regard to household, crafts and recreation
o    Ensure tasks are prioritized and delegated to staff and volunteers
o    Ensure household/yard cleaning as scheduled
o    Plan and ensure meals/snacks are appropriate
o    Maintain vehicle cleanliness and upkeep (gas and oil)
o    Ensure donations are recorded, sorted and washed prior to storage
Expectations
    Follow a strict code of confidentiality at all times
    Ensure safety, security and protection of the children
    Adhere to agency policies and procedures
    Work independently and in a team atmosphere, in accordance to the agency philosophy, mission and goals
    Ensure administrative documentation related to position duties, including outcome measurements, statistics, report writing, timesheets, and expense claims are completed
    Maintain professional and ethical boundaries
    Be non-judgmental, respectful, empathetic to clients needs,  and a healthy role model
    Participate in community awareness initiatives and training as directed by the Executive Director
    Complete required valid training within 30 days of hire:
o    Crisis Line
o    CPR/First Aid
o    Safe Food Handling Certificate/ WHMIS

 - Observe children and report on observations to supervisor
 - Guide children in development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
 - Conduct and monitor activity programs designed for young children
Ability to Supervise
 - 11-15 people
