The Town of Langenburg, a friendly, vibrant and community oriented small town, invites applications to fill the position of Recreation Director.  

The Community Recreation Director is a full time position that shall retain, organize and attract recreation opportunities as well as to advise the Langenburg Community Development Board on matters relating to recreation development.  We are seeking an individual with a vision, energy and perseverance to develop new initiatives and continue with the current projects and programs.  The RD will work closely with the Langenburg Community Development Board and Councils of the RM of Langenburg and the Town of Langenburg.

The Successful applicant will have:
    A University degree or college diploma in the field of Community Development, Recreation Management or Business Administration with related work experience and a proven track record.
    Discipline related to recreation management or equivalent expertise.
    Two years of experience in recreation management, industry associations or in a business management position.
    Innovative self-starter with a proven ability to organize, prioritize and complete tasks and projects promptly and efficiently
    Ability to establish effective working relationships with the Langenburg Community Development Board, Town and RM Councils, staff, committees, local businesses and general public.
    Familiarity with recreation marketing, promotion and development.
    Must possess good oral and written communication and public relation skills.
    Must be assertive, creative and a leader.

Salary and benefits will depend on qualifications, education and experience.
