We're looking for an experienced web specialist to join our team on a contract basis. We work with all sorts of clients- from startups to large companies- to build custom websites and applications.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in web development, along with excellent social skills and personality. He or she will be good at receiving feedback and direction, and will be skilled in many or all of these areas:
-Client consultations, presentations, public speaking, and project planning
-Creation of estimates and project contracts
-Intelligent and creative UX design and information architecture planning and implementation
-LoFi and HiFi Wireframing and prototype creation (Axure or similar)
-Usability test scripting and user testing
-Adobe Creative Suite
-Head-turning and smart UI design through the use of style guides, standards, and UI kits, and optimized for all screens and devices.
-Clean and commented HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP and more
-Custom WordPress theme development from scratch (and experience with child themes when applicable)
-Git/version control
-Project management
-DNS
-Managing servers and launching/migrating websites and databases (especially in a WordPress environment)
-Testing and QA scripting and procedures
-Google Analytics strategy, planning, and implementation
-Invoicing, bookkeeping, basic accounting, and other record-keeping
-Web security, fixing/cleaning hacks, etc
-Maintenance and ongoing client support
-Business development
-Creative problem solving
-Self-learning and working independently
Nice to haves:
-Entrepreneurial/small business experience (sole proprietors will be considered)
-Experience managing subcontractors and/or employees
-WordPress plugin development
-Software development experience
