Job Description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and maintaining revision control of manufacturing data within CAD/CAM software to support production on CNC cutting and forming equipment.
Primary Job Duties:
Setting up tool paths and generating programs for CNC router equipment
Prepare drawings and manufacturing information for production
Review and update drawings and records for accuracy
Participate in Engineering Change Process by establishing new parts and maintaining revision control
Utilize CAD/CAM software to improve run time and nesting efficiency
Provide information for time/cost analysis
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD (preference given to candidates proficient in this software) or similar
Knowledge of nesting and CNC programming (experience with computerized nesting software an asset)
Knowledge of sheet metal fabricating equipment and processes including profile cutting, forming, welding and assembly
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Experience working in an ERP/MRP environment would be an asset
Minimum Qualifications:
CAD/CAM Engineering Technologist
3 to 5 years of workplace experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
