Carry the Kettle First Nation is seeking a Facilitator who will work with the Project Coordinator to coordinate and facilitate the Life Skills program. They will work directly with participants by providing assistance and support to participants with a range of barriers. They will be responsible for planning the program material and developing and delivering workshops, providing referrals to external resources and maintaining a safe and healthy environment for participants. They will share skills, knowledge and experience about developing and maintaining goals, coping with triggers and managing stress.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Conduct intakes and assessments with program participants.
Provide one-to-one support.
Develop and deliver workshops on a range of topics relating to addiction, substance use, mental health and life skills.
Perform community engagement and conduct outreach to promote the service.
Connect participants with supports in the community that are based on their needs in order to support them in achieving their goals.
Support participants to explore, envisions and set goals relating to their individual plans.
Use lived experience to build connections and relationships with participants in program space.
Actively participate in supervision, clinical consultation and team meetings.
May be required to perform additional tasks relating to position.
