Job Description
The position will support the Supply Chain Manager in daily activities with a focus on ordering and inventory management
Duties and Responsibilities
Track process orders and check delivery status daily
Order finished good as required for stock, resale, equipment and shop/plant supplies
Update and analyse information and recommend improvements in business operations
Perform trouble shooting activities with vendors, suppliers, and shipping companies.
Track process orders from various suppliers.
Determine best price and availability for finished goods with a focus on raw materials
Communicate with direct management on work updates or changes
Complete data entry and run Sage reports
Perform daily ordering based on determined requirements, create corresponding purchase orders and follow up on order details.
Match freight quotes with invoices investigate and follow up on inaccuracies and post accurate invoices.
Assist in planning warehouse improvement initiatives
Qualifications
At least some post-secondary education
1-2 years of applicable experience
Shipping/Receiving experience
Ability to negotiate
Excellent customer service
Logistics experience seen as asset
Inventory control experience seen as an asset
Accounting experience seen as an asset
Experience using Sage 300 seen as an asset
Post-secondary training, either diploma or degree in supply chain management seen as asset
