Description

The File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council is a non-profit organization that provides a range of programs and services to 11 First Nations throughout Southern Saskatchewan within the Treaty Four Territory.  File Hills Qu'Appelle Tribal Council Health Services is seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual to provide input, analysis, advice and recommendations on the management of funds and services received from external funding Agencies. The position is also responsible for maintenance of accountability with respect to agreements and contracts between FHQ Health Services, All Nations' Healing Hospital, funding agencies and/or service providers.
Competencies:
Experience advising and negotiating with organizations;
Developing and maintaining partnerships with organizations
Conducting research, providing strategic advice and reporting to management
Understanding of provincial, regional and national initiatives as pertaining to governance and health initiatives
Analyzing and resolving complex operational issues in delivery of health programs or initiatives
Working with grants, contribution agreements and contracts
Knowledge of political, social and health issues affecting First Nations and communities
Provide leadership in a team environment
Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
Results oriented, innovative and a conceptual/analytical thinker
Project Management skills-inclusive of proposal writing, implementation, evaluation and reporting
Possess a valid SK driver's license and reliable vehicle
Provide a criminal record check
Willing to work outside the normal working hours and be willing to travel
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, in public health, public and/or business administration
Five years experience in First Nation community health programming
